Founded by Robin and Michelle Baggett in 2006 in the historic Rutherford appellation of the Napa Valley, Alpha Omega is a certified sustainable winery that produces world class wines utilizing a combination of traditional handcrafted techniques and modern technology. Alpha Omega wines are the product of their relentless desire to work with the finest Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards in the Napa Valley. This pursuit has taken them all over Napa Valley, from valley floor to hillsides to mountain tops in search of vineyards that express their sense of place in an exciting, meaningful way.
Alpha Omega’s lot represents a handpicked selection from the winemaker’s cellar of Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2019 vintage, one of the highest rated vintages in the last 10 years, that includes a 6-liter bottle of their flagship wine, ERA, along with a selection of six remarkable single vineyards within the ERA family of wines.
These six single vineyard wines represent some of the most critically acclaimed, historic vineyards in the Napa Valley. The Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard was originally planted in the 1850’s and has shaped the style and the quality of Napa Valley wines since. The Stagecoach and Sacrashe Vineyards are both dramatically perched high in the Vaca Mountains vineyards and share long histories and even longer resumés of quality. The Thomas Vineyard, located on the historic Rutherford Bench Vineyard, and Drew Vineyard, hidden in the forests of Mount Veeder, are the polished gems of Alpha Omega’s portfolio. Not to be outdone, the remarkable quality of Sleeping Lady Vineyard has made their grapes some of the most sought after in the Napa Valley.
ERA, Alpha Omega’s flagship wine was born in 2006 and is the show stopping result of blending small amounts of each of these six single vineyards together. Drawing on the unique qualities of each, ERA is a tapestry of terroir; a wine that exceeds what each of these vineyards accomplish on their own. It is a profound statement within the highest echelon of Napa Valley wines and vividly illustrates Alpha Omega’s winemakers handcrafted expression of each vintage.
