37. Screaming Eagle Soars

screamingeagle_headerchristieswine

If any wine exemplifies the California cult wine phenomena, it’s Screaming Eagle, which made its auspicious debut with its 1992 vintage. Within two short years, the wines quickly shot to the top of the collectible charts. In fact, the current price for the 1992 Screaming Eagle has soared to over $7,000. That’s per bottle, not per case!

The 2020 Screaming Eagle is one of the great surprises of the year. Energetic and vibrant in the glass, the 2020 offers a bit more energy than the average vintage. All the elements are well balanced with dark blue and purple fruit, lavender, menthol, spice, leather, and a soft touch of all fill out the layers effortlessly.

A legendary vintage from a legendary winemaker.
