For David Hejl, the genesis of his wine odyssey traces back to his formative years, where he honed his palate as a waiter, sommelier, and chef, before finding enlightenment in the enchanting streets of Paris working for Nabisco in his early 20s. In 2010, David embarked on his winemaking venture, crafting his inaugural vintage in the intimate setting of his new homemade cellar. This labor of love ignited a passion that would propel him to leave private equity and assume the helm at Kosta Browne before ultimately dedicating himself completely to Domaine Della—crafting wine in honor of family and his mother—Della.

Della’s legacy was one of courage, passion, and unwavering love. In Domaine Della, her spirit lives on, an eternal testament to the power of dreams and the enduring bonds of family and tradition. 

Three lucky couples are invited to join David and the Domaine Della team in the picturespe heart of downtown Santa Rosa for three nights at the Hyatt Regecy Sonoma Wine Country. 

While in Sonoma, David will host you for a private tour and barrel tasting at Earl Stephens Vineyard and Domaine Della before whisking you off to indulge in a wine dinner at Stark’s Steak & Seafood. This five-course gastronomic journey crafted Executive Chef Mark Stark and his team, will be perfectly paired with Domaine Della’s wines, showcasing rare vintages and special releases. Hosted by the renowned culinary duo, Mark and Terri Stark, James Beard Award semifinalists and proprietors of eight acclaimed Sonoma County restaurants, this evening promises unparalleled dining excellence.

Take home a rare double magnum of the sold out 2019 Domaine Della ‘Graham Family Vineyard’ Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (one of only two produced), a magnum of 2019 Domaine Della ‘Earl Stephens Vineyard’ Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (one of only six produced), and a four-bottle set of 2019 Domaine Della ‘4 Amours’ Special Blend Sonoma Coast in a wooden case to commemorate your trip. Each person will also be granted passes to advance to the Domaine Della active list for allocations that are all otherwise waitlisted to the general public.
