Deanna Martinez: General Manager

As the member of the JARVIS team who has been employed by William and Leticia Jarvis for the longest period of time, General Manager Deanna Martinez is involved in all facets of the business. Although she was born into a large family of five children in Iowa, Deanna moved to California as a young girl where she was raised on the Peninsula of the San Francisco Bay Area.

It was in 1987 that Deanna began to work for the Jarvis family while living in Palo Alto, California. Originally, she was a part-time employee who did the books. Her attention to detail and commitment put her on a fast-track and she was soon working in other areas of the Jarvis businesses such as Wiltron and the Jarvis Conservatory. Over the years, she continued to rise through the company, simultaneously holding different positions in the Jarvis Winery and Jarvis Conservatory.

With an accounting background, Deanna says that she went to the school of osmosis which is reflected in her aptitude for continual learning. Whether working on taxes, overseeing budgets, working on grants or artist contracts for the conservatory, managing the operations of the winery and vineyards or spearheading projects, Deanna has been an integral part of the evolution of JARVIS. She is a leading member of the Jarvis Winetasting Panel.

Deanna and her husband reside in Napa with their twins, a son and daughter, and a 4 year old granddaughter.
