The countdown begins, just days until the corks are popped, the judges commence, and the champions are announced for over 600 wine entries. You be the judge at Tasting of Champions.

DCWAF is excited to join forces with the South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival to bring you a diverse selection of quality, world-class wines weeks before they are showcased at the Northwest Florida Beaches Ultimate Wine Week in April. As we prepare for the annual charitable pre-taste wine walkabout, we are proud to bring you 82 categories to explore this Friday, February 19th from 6-8pm at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. If you enjoy fine wine or may be looking to develop your wine repertoire by tasting 600+ wines rated by judges including Alexander Peartree of Wine Enthusiast Magazine, Mike Haney of Black Dog Cellars, and Bill Whiting at Banfi Vintners, among others, this event will give you the opportunity to do just this!

Tickets are available online for just $50, around the same price a majority of these bottles retail for and less than we often spend on a night out with friends for appetizers and drinks! This is a great opportunity to take your tasting senses to the next level, to try something new, to taste one of the largest scopes offered of wine selctions, some categories you may have never know existed. This is the perfect wine event to broaden your pallet. Be sure to make note of wines to add to your cart the next time you shop!


With over 600 wines entered into the South Walton Beaches Wine and Food Festival’s private wine judging competition, each will be scored and only the three best per category awarded  bronze, silver, and gold. As you peruse the guide and get to know the grapes, you will have the opportunity to taste the medal winners as well as the two wines named "Best In Show". Become a wine judge yourself as you swirl, sniff, and sip Cabernets, Super Tuscans, Brunellos, Pinot Noirs and others from the old & new world. 


In addition to the tasting, there will be a few items available for a handful of lucky winners; you won't want to miss the opportunity to take home event tickets, large format bottles and more. Proceeding the tasting, you can choose to continue your evening downstairs at Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood for a special prix fixe fine dining experience for our Tasting of Champions guests at just $85. Don’t worry about a ride home after these festivities, take the elevator home.
