The holiday season has arrived, and what better way to celebrate it than by giving back to charities that are doing important work for the children in our community? Our 16 children's charities offer a variety of programs and services that benefit youth in our area, including those afflicted by health issues and abuse. Peruse the different charities and their missions to find one that speaks to you, and then give whatever your heart desires.
AMIkids Emerald Coast
AMIkids provides kids in our community an opportunity to transform into responsible young adults by separating a troubled past from a bright future. AMIkids works in partnership with young agencies, local communities, and families.

Children’s Volunteer Health Network eliminates barriers to accessible and affordable healthcare for children in need through mobile solutions and community partnerships.
Ellison McCraney Ingram Foundation
Ellison McCraney Ingram Foundation (EMIF) honors the legacy of longtime DCWAF supporters Doug and Merrisa Ingram’s 9-year-old son, who tragically passed away last year. EMIF provides scholarship opportunities to teens who have benefitted from one of DCWAF’s partner charities within his/her lifetime.
Emerald Coast Autism Center
Emerald Coast Autism Center dedicates and improves the lives of individuals with autism in Okaloosa and Walton counties and surrounding areas. They are unique in their approach to teaching these amazing children; all instruction and activities at the center are conducted in a manner consistent with the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center
Together with child protective services, legal entities, and community partners, Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center identifies and provides critical services for child abuse victims and their families while working toward holding offenders accountable.
Habitat for Humanity
Walton County Habitat for Humanity builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of their partner families and the community. They bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Mental Health Association Okaloosa & Walton Counties
The Mental Health Association of Okaloosa/Walton Counties provides a strong array of mental health services to the children in our community.
Opportunity Place
Opportunity Place is committed to helping women and families achieve independence and self-sufficiency, and they do this by providing temporary emergency shelter and hope for a brighter future for women and families with minor children.
Point Washington Medical Clinic
The mission of Point Washington Medical Clinic (PWMC) is to build a stronger and healthier community by providing high-quality primary health care regardless of the patient’s means or access.
Shelter House Northwest Florida
Shelter House is a state-certified domestic violence center serving domestic and sexual violence victims and survivors in Okaloosa and Walton counties. The supportive, non-judgmental environment at Shelter House works to make every survivor feel safe, empowered, and confident.
The Arc of the Emerald Coast
The Arc of the Emerald Coast provides services that work to include all children and adults with cognitive, intellectual, and developmental disabilities in every community.
Westonwood Ranch
Westonwood Ranch offers a unique learning curriculum to improve life skills and pre-vocational skills for young adults with developmental differences. The result of their programs is to increase independence, gain self-confidence, obtain gainful employment in the community, and successfully transition into adulthood.​
Youth Village
Youth Village, Inc is an after-school program and summer camp located in Fort Walton Beach. Their goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment with supportive mentors, teachers, and other caring adults to help their children acquire a love of learning and create a desire to achieve.
