Domaine Serene Vineyards and Winery

Born and raised in Napa Valley, California Heather has always appreciated her exposure to wine and food from an early age. However, it was not until after a trip to France, and after countless days playing hooky to help winemaker friends, that she left her career in the legal field in favor of her true passion – Wine.

In 2007, she joined Blackbird Vineyards during their inaugural release and spent the next several years developing its sales and distribution channels as the National Sales & Brand Manager. After several visits to Chicago, she decided to make another life change and moved to the Midwest to help launch Rootstock Wine Company, a fine wine importer and distributor in the fall of 2012. This began her journey to explore the wine regions of the world and led to her next role as VP of Sales with national importer Total Beverage Solution. Over the years Heather led a sales team, worked with a vast distribution network, and helped to shape the strategic direction of the company while discovering diverse wines and incredible people around the world. She has continued to feel inspired by this lifestyle that celebrates people, food & wine, a philosophy which is deeply engrained in the values of Domaine Serene Winery & Vineyards.

It was always Heather’s plan to return to her wine country roots. In 2023 she found a home with Domaine Serene Winery & Vineyards, an industry leader of Pinot Noir & Chardonnay, located in the beautiful Dundee Hills of the Willamette Valley, and Château de la Crée in the Santenay region of Burgundy’s historic Côte de Beaune.

Celebrating her 18th year in the wine industry her appreciation for quality and terroir-driven wines made with respect to the land and its’ people has never wavered and is encapsulated by her simple philosophy: “My goal is to let the wines speak for themselves and tell the stories that build connection and inspire joy. This is what wine is all about. Sharing an experience around the table, creating new memories and friendships; and learning about what makes the wine so special along the journey.”

Heather holds an AS in Legal Studies, a BS in Business Management and is certified as a Cicerone Level 1 and Wine & Spirits Level 2 (WSET). A Napa Valley native, she currently lives in Chicago and enjoys travelling the world, hiking, yoga, live music, and is an art and history enthusiast.
