The Wines of Chris Carpenter

Erik began his wine industry career in college at Cal Poly as a harvest intern at Talley Vineyards in Arroyo Grande. Knowing nothing about wine going in to this internship, he fell in love with the business and has been collecting wine ever since. For the past 13 years he has been managing wine Estates in the Napa Valley with his most recent stint as Director of Hospitality at Alpha Omega Winery for five years prior to taking on his role at Cardinale in April of 2011. 

In his current role at Jackson Family Wines, Erik oversees 17 brands for the Spire Collection Direct to Consumer team that span four continents and five countries of world-class, highly acclaimed wines. 

As a passionate collector of wine Erik has focused his career solely on the direct to consumer marketing channel where he can speak to and work directly with other collectors.
