MathieuPouchanChiefSommelierofetcwineshops1426x640Located in the illustrious Cote Des Blancs area of northeast France, Champagne Delamotte has been a benchmark wine producer since 1780. With wines described as discrete yet present, heady but not heavy, they are known for creating a light, impertinent champagne perfect for any occasion. Producing Bruts, Blancs de Blancs, and Rosé, their luxurious productions stand out from the crowd.

Mathieu Pouchan, the Export Director for Salon Delamotte, came to the vineyard with an incredible amount of wine exposure and education. Coming from a wine loving family, Mathieu was taught the importance of good wine from the beginning by his parents, both of whom were raised in prominent wine regions in France. Once he began his university education, it came as no surprise that he chose to study hospitality in the Lycée Hostelier de Tourisme de Biarritz and later specialized in Sommelerie in Bordeaux. After becoming certified, he began working as a sommelier in prestigious French restaurants and later under prestigious Japanese Sommeliers Tani Nobohide and Mori Satoru in Tokyo. After gaining more experience in high quality wine distribution in Hong Kong, he moved back to France. Joining the Salon Delamotte team in 2016, he leads with impeccable knowledge of great wines, gastronomy, and distribution.
